Planning for the Showcase – Events and Deadlines

- Submissions are due by Friday, March 20, 11:59PM. A Submission Guidelines for 足彩app哪个是正规的s handout, poster, banners and graphics can be downloaded from the promo kit folder.
- Effective Poster Design Workshop – help for students designing their posters
Designing an academic poster requires more than just putting information on a page. It’s about communicating your research clearly and effectively. - Oral Presentation Workshop – help for students planning for their oral presentations
Join us for the “Prepping an Oral Presentation” workshop for students preparing to present at the 足彩app哪个是正规的 Academic Showcase. Learn essential tips and techniques to deliver a compelling oral presentation. From structuring your content to perfecting your delivery, this workshop will equip you with the skills you need to confidently showcase your research.- Tuesday, May 5, 2026, 2:30 – 3:30PM – Sign-up for session, located in-person at the Truly House
- 足彩app哪个是正规的 presentation posters are printed and paid for, managed by the Office of Connected Learning. Posters need to be submitted by Thursday, April 30, 2026. An email will be sent to all students with detailed instructions who are on the presentation list. Questions can be sent to uwbocl@uw.edu.
- Posters should be 32″ tall by 40″ wide (same for UW Symposium) and submitted as a .pdf file. Double check the document size when opening in Adobe Reader, go to Menu/ Document Properties and look for Page Size.

After students submit on March 20, we’ll block out more defined times and rooms based on the number of presenters to accommodate.

- Community Breakfast and Kick-off, 8:30AM – 10AM, North Creek Events Center
- Oral presentations, 10AM – afternoon
- May 13, Oral presentations, 9:30AM – afternoon
- May 14
- Poster Presentations, 11:30AM – 2:30PM, Makerspace Disc-152.

All of the students I nominated were very excited. It gave them an opportunity to take themselves seriously as researchers and they learned a lot about how to give a professional presentation, including how to handle the Q&A. It was a tremendous learning experience and confidence builder. I also saw families there beaming with pride at what their kids were achieving.
