  • BNURS 504: Social Justice in Healthcare. Evaluates effects of mainstream systems and integrates reflective practice to explore and integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion into professional identity and care. Analyzes how social determinants of health affect the nature and distribution of health and illness across individuals and populations, the delivery of health care, and health inequities. Emphasizes sustainable partnerships and advocacy approaches to improve individual and population health outcomes through interventions and policies that advance health equity. (5 credits)
  • BNURS 505: Leading and Managing Projects and People. Develops practical skills in strategic management, communication, and decision-making as tools for creating safe, ethical, and inclusive learning and practice environments. Examines the role of external regulatory and workforce partners on practice. Addresses challenges of maximizing fiscal and human resources in a dynamic, interprofessional environment. (5 credits)
  • BNURS 506: Ethical Person-Centered Care Across Contexts. Integrates aspects of professional identity as advance practice nurse; commitment to inclusive and equitable care; accountability; continuity of care; ethical comportment; leadership in diverse educational and practice settings. Uses nursing process to develop advanced understanding of health assessment, pathophysiology, pharmacology in person-centered care. Explores ethical strategies to address clinical decision-making across care settings. (5 credits)
  • BNURS 520: Nursing Research. Analyzes conceptual, theoretical, and empirical knowledge as a basis for evidence-based practice. Explores research methodologies relevant to nursing practice and evaluates the role of advanced practice nurses in conducting and applying research. (5 credits)
  • BNURS 522: Nursing Informatics, Quality, and Safety. Explore nursing leadership for quality and safety in the context of current care delivery structures and reimbursement systems. Use informatics and quality improvement models to inform decision-making to reduce health risks, understand practice patterns, and improve access to care and health outcomes. Collaborate with colleagues in a climate of mutual learning, respect and shared values to engage in program planning and evaluation. (5 credits)
  • BNURS 525: Healthcare Leadership and Policy. Builds community, socializing habits of mind for graduate nursing education, and facilitates development for leadership in advanced nursing roles. Promotes inquiry using insight from practice, reflection, and theory to inform leadership and policy. Explores tools for creating change to promote cost-effective, safe, equitable care. Strategic use of change management and leadership skills are employed to plan policy change in collaborative teams. (5 credits)
  • BNURS 590: Fieldwork and Capstone I. Provides substantive field experience in a setting of interest in alignment with competencies required for a selected advanced nursing role. Assists students in delineating master’s level nursing practice roles and translating and integrating scholarship into practice knowledge. Fosters professional development and maturity, as well as interprofessional practice. Development of the proposal for a capstone project. (5 credits)
  • BNURS 591: Fieldwork and Capstone II. Provides substantive field experience in a setting of interest in alignment with competencies required for a selected advanced nursing role. Assists students in delineating master’s level nursing practice roles and translating and integrating scholarship into practice knowledge. 足彩app哪个是正规的s will complete the practice portion of the capstone project and prepare literature review and initial project report. (5 credits)
  • BNURS 592: Capstone Seminar. Completion of capstone project demonstrating scholarly analysis and application of evidence and theoretical concepts to practice, culminating in a written product and multiple strategies for public dissemination. Reflection on and development of professional identity and self-presentation. (5 credits)

  • BHLTH 511: Curriculum Development in Nursing Education. Introduces curricular processes of development, implementation and evaluation within the context of clinical healthcare and academic nursing education settings. Examines contextual, philosophical, and theoretical approaches to education. Explores expectations of industry, students, profession, and stakeholders; tailoring curriculum to selected delivery modalities, settings, and roles to promote context-responsive nursing education. (5 credits)

  • BHLTH 514: Evaluation of Academic and Clinical Performance in Nursing and Healthcare.  Examines learning assessment and program evaluation strategies useful to nurse educators in clinical healthcare and academic nursing education settings. Analyzes various approaches for formative and summative evaluation. Explores implications for short-, medium-, and long-term program evaluation in nursing curriculum. (5 credits)
