{"id":8677,"date":"2010-11-05T09:16:03","date_gmt":"2010-11-05T09:16:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/?p=8677"},"modified":"2024-10-30T16:19:41","modified_gmt":"2024-10-30T23:19:41","slug":"printing-personal","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/it\/training-and-support\/software-hardware-printing\/printing-personal","title":{"rendered":"Faculty\/Staff: Print from personal computers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Add a UWB printer onto a personal computer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Find and install the printer driver<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Access the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ricoh-usa.com\/en\/support-and-download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ricoh USA Support and Download website<\/a> to find the correct model of Ricoh printer driver.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enter the printer model number on the <strong>Support and Download page search field<\/strong> and select the search icon.<br><em>For example, if you are planning on using the <strong>UW2-204-Ricoh6503<\/strong> printer, you would type <strong>Ricoh 6503<\/strong><\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From the list on the next page, select the printer model within the <strong>Drivers<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If asked, <strong>Accept<\/strong> the license agreement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose your operating system (OS): <strong>Windows<\/strong> or <strong>macOS X<\/strong>.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>For <strong>Windows<\/strong> \u2013  Download and install the driver for your version of Windows. <em><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/en-us\/windows\/find-information-about-your-device-a66d52c8-3323-44fd-8f34-a9497bb935e1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Find your Windows version<\/a><\/em><br>Select the <strong>latest PCL6 driver available<\/strong> within your Windows version.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For <strong>macOS X<\/strong> \u2013 Download and install the driver for your version of macOS. <em><a href=\"https:\/\/support.apple.com\/en-my\/109033\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Find your macOS version<\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the Ricoh print driver is installed, follow the steps outlined on this page to add the printer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Add the desired printer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">On a Windows computer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the Windows icon or search box in the taskbar and type <strong>\\\\printers.uwb.edu\\<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Authenticate with your UW NetID credential and a list of available on-campus printers, including HP, Ricoh, and other brand models, will be displayed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Double-click on the desired Ricoh printer to add it onto the computer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">On a Mac computer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>It is required to find out the printer IP address before adding it to the computer. Please contact the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/it\/get-help\">UWB IT Help Desk<\/a> for assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Once you have the printer IP address, proceed to adding the printer using the steps provided:.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open <strong>System Settings<\/strong> and select <strong>Printers &amp; Scanners<\/strong> from the sidebar.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax\u2026<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the middle IP icon and type in the printer IP in the address field. <em>For example, the IP address for the &#8220;LB2-218-RicohC2504&#8221; printer is &#8220;172.21.200.54&#8221;.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please make sure <strong>Line Printer Deamon \u2013 LPD protocol<\/strong> is selected from the dropdown menu. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>足彩app哪个是正规的 system should recognize the printer model and display the model under the Use area automatically.
