All F-1 students must also comply with all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/hr\/student\">UWB OEHR policies<\/a> for student employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Basic F-1 student information for on-campus employment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On-campus employment authorization is automatic. You receive it when you gain F-1 status.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ISS considers all compensation (not just cash payments) provided for your time and services a use of your on-campus employment authorization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On-campus work must perform a service to students on the UWB campus. Please consult ISS if you&#8217;re unsure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On-campus employment can be for UWB or an on-campus third party vendor supplying services to students. Please consult ISS if you&#8217;re unsure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employment at UW Seattle, UW Tacoma, and Cascadia College is not permitted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Federal regulations limit you to 20 hours\/week while class is in session. <strong>Note: Employment with UWB limits you to <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">19.5 hours\/week<\/span> while class is in session.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are only allowed to work on-campus while you are a registered student or a transfer student that has released their SEVIS record to UWB.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can continue to work on campus while on an annual vacation. Hours can go beyond 20 hours\/week if permitted by the employer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/international-student-services\/current-f-1-students\/special-student-relief\">special student relief<\/a>, you are eligible to work more than 20 hours\/week on campus. Please talk to ISS first so we can contact OEHR on your behalf.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You cannot work on-campus beyond your program end date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Work Authorization Questions<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re applying to an on-campus, non work study student position, you can answer accordingly:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Are you legally authorized to work in the United States?<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Yes. Information about jobs are listed at <a href=\"\/hr\/student\/huskyhires\">Husky Hires<\/a> and through the weekly email you receive from Career Center called &#8220;Career Center News&#8221;.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-h-6-font-size\"><span>I <\/span>FOUND AN ON-CAMPUS JOB!
