\n\tIAS faculty member Shannon Cram<\/a>'s Science, Technology, and Society class collaborated with Washington Physicians for Social Responsibility<\/a> to create podcasts for its series, Down by the River: Stories of Hanford<\/i><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tWashington's Hanford Nuclear Reservation produced weapons-grade plutonium for more than forty years and is now the site of the world's largest and most expensive environmental cleanup. In developing podcasts about Hanford's complex histories and challenges, students interviewed current and retired Hanford workers, government representatives, public interest groups, downwinders, and others.
