Ali is an internationally recognized artist whose works span performance, installation, video, images, public encounters, and political agitation. This past November Ali&rsquo;s artworks were on view concurrently at the Western Gallery (Bellingham, USA), Bendigo Art Museum (Bendigo, Australia) and the Blue Cinema Corso (Zurich, Switzerland).<\/p>\n\n<p>From Oct 7 &#8211; Nov 20, 2021 Western Gallery on the campus of Western Washington University fully reopened to the public with Anida Yoeu Ali&rsquo;s solo exhibition titled &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/westerngallery.wwu.edu\/red-chador-genesis-i-anida-yoeu-ali\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">足彩app哪个是正规的 Red Chador: Genesis I<\/a>.&rdquo;  足彩app哪个是正规的 gallery saw a record number of attendees with an extensive public program around Ali&rsquo;s work and practice. Exclusive to the exhibition were images from Ali&rsquo;s performance in the city of Bellevue on the twentieth anniversary of 9\/11. This was the first public solo exhibition of the <a href=\"\/news\/november-2021\/red-chador-rises-again\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">re-imagined series<\/a> since the 2017 disappearance of Ali&rsquo;s original chador garment at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv.<\/p>\n\n<p>Her short film also titled &ldquo;足彩app哪个是正规的 Red Chador: Genesis I&rdquo; created in collaboration with IAS faculty member <a href=\"\/ias\/faculty-and-staff\/masahiro-sugano\">Masahiro Sugano<\/a> during their commissioned residency at the Shangri-La Museum of Islamic Art, Culture and Design was screened on November 20th for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.womeninfilmfest.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">What if? Women in Film Festival<\/a> in Zurich, Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n<p>From Aug 21, 2021 &#8211; Jan 30, 2022 Ali&rsquo;s art remains on view at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bendigoregion.com.au\/bendigo-art-gallery\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bendigo Art Gallery<\/a> in a group exhibition titled <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bendigoregion.com.au\/bendigo-art-gallery\/exhibitions\/soul-fury\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SOUL Fury <\/a>curated in collaboration with Nur Shkembi, an independent curator and scholar of contemporary Islamic art. This premier exhibition brings together the work of leading Australian and international contemporary artists working across sculpture, photography, painting, installation, video and textiles. SOUL Fury offers an expansive dialogue through artworks by 16 women who have been subjected to the remnants of a post 9-11 world and explores the essential nature of female agency in the current social and political climate.
