IAS faculty member Min Tang<\/a> attended the What is Information 2020 Cyberconference<\/a> between April 30-May 2 and presented at the Law\/Government Panel<\/a>. Tang’s presentation on “Information, Imperialism and Geopolitics: A Critical Approach to Global Internet Governance” revisited the conceptualization of global Internet governance from a critical political economy approach and highlighted the complex nature of information as sites of geopolitical-economic rivalries.<\/p>\n\n

This is the tenth annual “What is…?” hosted by the University of Oregon that examines the conceptualizations, implementations and topologies of information, technology and communication from cross-disciplinary approaches.
