Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies<\/a> (GWSS) students, staff, and faculty, along with supporters at UW Bothell, gathered for a recognition ceremony to celebrate the end of our second year. As is now tradition, the day was dedicated to Dr. Leslie Ashbaugh<\/a>, beloved colleague who passed away before the degree launched. GWSS faculty member Kris Kellejian<\/a> shared memories of Leslie and GWSS faculty coordinator Julie Shayne<\/a> presented student Mica Coronel with the Leslie Ashbaugh Feminist Praxis in Education (LAFPIE) Award. (GWSS faculty and staff named the award LAFPIE in honor of Leslie Ahsbaugh\u2019s witty sense of humor and love of pie.) This annual award recognizes GWSS students (majors or minors) who demonstrate inspiring and impactful feminist praxis during the course of their studies at UW Bothell. Mica\u2019s mother and grandparents were there to help her celebrate the award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GWSS also thanked outgoing student representative Shugla Kakar and welcomed incoming student representative Marjan Atashkhayer Didra who was sporting a Wonder Woman outfit in honor of the celebration. 足彩app哪个是正规的 celebration ended with pie!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
