Alternative Spring Break (ASB) is a different way to spend your spring break! Monthly Restoration Events

Do you want to give back to Saint Edward State Park? Are you looking for meaningful ways to support local natural spaces? Come join us! Join us for a day of stewardship and discovery at Saint Edward State Park! 足彩app哪个是正规的 park is home to rich flora, fauna, and history and with increased visitation, it needs our collective care more than ever. All ages 8 + welcome; no experience needed. Work happens rain or shine, please dress for the weather.

Where to meet: EERC Classroom. Volunteers can use free parking passes for the duration of their service.

What to bring (required): Rain Jacket, closed toe shoes, water, hand pruners or loppers (we have some but could always use more) and gardening gloves (we will provide extra if you do not have your own)

101 Program Series

This is a family centered series features immersive, hands-on learning experiences on a variety of topics. Faculty, student interns, and community partners will share their passions and expertise in these one- to two-hour workshops. Each session will provide a brief overview before diving into engaging, hands-on activities.

  • Do I need to register in advance?
    • Ideally we would like people to register so we can plan materials accordingly but all our events are open to the public, and you can simply show up on the day of the event. 
  • Are there any fees?
    • No, our 101 Series events are completely free of charge.  
  • Is there free parking at Saint Edward State Park?
    • Parking at Saint Edward State Park requires a Discover Pass. However, the CoSEE provides temporary parking passes for event participants.  
  • Is this event suitable for younger children?
    • Yes, our events are designed to engage participants of all ages, including younger children. If a session is geared more specifically toward a younger or older audience, that information will be highlighted in the event details.

Socio-Ecological Thriving Book Club

Join us to read articles, chapters, or listen to podcasts centered around socio-ecological thriving; past, present and future. At the beginning of each month, we will share a selected reading and reflection questions with members, and then meet for an online lunch on the third Wednesday of each month to share our thoughts on the reading, welcome new ideas and perspectives into the shared space, and build a community interested in learning how to design for thriving futures for social and ecological communities.
