Asia, a first-generation student, studied abroad in Tokyo through the UW Bothell Japan: World War II Through Film program, an experience that transformed her confidence and sense of possibility. With support from the Global Scholars program and the Office of Connected Learning, she prepared academically and personally for the journey.
