Mentor Expectations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the Mentorship EDGE program, you will connect with assigned students (mentees) and meet with them each quarter for a year. It is also recommended you allow some communication with your mentees via email (or other preferred methods) to answer questions between meetings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to foster a more meaningful mentoring experience, strive to:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  1. Connect remotely or in-person with your mentees at least once per quarter for the coming year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Attend the annual spring quarter Mentorship EDGE networking event.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Ways to engage your mentees<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • Articulate some of the ways you can or would like to help your mentees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Inform your mentees how frequently and in which ways you can connect.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Respond openly and enthusiastically to mentee questions and requests, as available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
