I am a senior double-majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration (Supply Chain Management Option).  I\u2019m ecstatic to be serving as your student government President for the 2025-26 academic year and am proud to represent you! I want to increase your opportunities to be involved in ASUWB, such as with a volunteer program and transparent, accessible elections.  Furthermore, I want to increase student awareness of and engagement with decision-making bodies. Locally, this includes the UW administration & committees and ASUWB and extends to the Washington State Legislature and U.S. Congress.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I was President of TrickFire Robotics Club and the ASUWB Director of Finance last school year. In my free time, I enjoy playing a wide variety of games, including tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons & Dragons. I’m also an avid reader of wikis and Wikipedia articles, be it about cheese or a work of media I heard the name of just a few minutes ago.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello everyone! I am a rising senior majoring in Business Administration, with an option in Supply Chain Management and a concentration in Finance. I\u2019m excited to serve as Vice President for UWB this year! I am a sophomore majoring in Law, Economics & Public Policy and pursuing minors in Human Rights and Child & Youth Development. I joined ASUWB to advocate for all students and aspire to make student government an accessible resource and a safe, supportive organization where all students can feel comfortable participating. As ASUWB\u2019s representative for community engagement, I oversee events and support DEI initiatives on campus to ensure all students are valued. Hello everyone! My name is Zoya Merakov, and I am a senior studying Law, Economics, and Public Policy, and minoring in Human Rights. I am very excited to serve as the Director of Senate this year! After serving as a senator for commuting students in 2024, I developed a passion for the Senate and for making all students feel connected. I aim to foster more senator engagement within the Senate, more senator opportunities, and to make sure that students are involved and aware of the Senate branch of government. I am a junior majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I wanted to join ASUWB to have more “creative freedom” in student government and work on various projects (along with my day-to-day responsibilities) that are based on self-initiative and could be more impactful. I want to make a real difference on this campus, not just maintain the status quo. Some of my job duties include forming and overseeing committees, including the ASUWB Finance Committee which votes on SAEF and creating the new U-PASS committee. I also hire for and sit on STF and SAF committees, as well as understanding their bylaws and function. In my day-to-day work I generally operate as ASUWB\u2019s Chief Financial Officer and help to process\/approve internal ASUWB purchases. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

My primary goals revolve around the STF and SAF committees. I want to make them a place where committee members feel like they can speak comfortably and openly without judgement. I want to raise awareness for SAEF and U-PASS to help students understand what benefits exist on compass. I would also like to help seek discounts for students at local and online businesses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hello everyone! I am a senior majoring in Law, Economics, and Public Policy with a minor in Human Rights, and I am so excited to be ASUWB\u2019s Director of Legislative Affairs this year! I first got involved in legislative advocacy my junior year of high school and primarily advocated for school curriculum that includes and celebrates LGBTQ+ people, BIPOC, and other marginalized communities. In my advocacy, I always try to center equity whether it be through expanded access to basic needs and financial aid or ensuring that all students feel safe and empowered in their pursuit of education, advocacy, and beyond. In my free time, I enjoy playing the guitar and singing, spending time with friends and family, and swimming. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

I am a sophomore studying Applied Computing and Law, Economics & Public Policy. I am passionate about policy making and law. I was seeking campus opportunities that would allow me to gain experience and exposure in these areas, and I found ASUWB to be an excellent fit to develop skills useful for my career and develop my leadership skills.  I am the Parliamentarian for ASUWB, overseeing the enforcement of our bylaws and governance standards. I also chair the Elections Committee and the Parliamentarian Appointment Committee, ensuring transparency with the Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA).
