Yes, life throws you the unexpected, and of course resilience is something to be applauded, and resilience phrasing can be inspirational, and so on. But, for those who need to be resilient to deal with today and move towards tomorrow, it is exhausting \u2014 and that reality isn\u2019t often discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I offer this reflection recognizing that at any point in time, there will be members of our community who are uncertain about what lies ahead, what it means for them, how resilient they may need to be and how much more they can handle. Let\u2019s acknowledge how exhausting that is even as we are grateful for the efforts of so many to support our community through the unexpected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This newsletter includes key updates from this fall quarter regarding the Division of Academic Affairs. While our five schools are the core of our division, this newsletter focuses on central services that support our academic core. Main updates are organized by faculty and students along with other key highlights. We are planning their second year, which will be heavily focused on computing, and recruiting new scholars for the upcoming cohort. 足彩app哪个是正规的 much-anticipated STARS space is expected to open in winter 2025 on the 3rd floor of UW1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our new Academic Advising unit<\/strong>&nbsp;is up and running! Our space has a new welcome desk, signage and staff workstations. We will be installing drop-in spaces in the coming months. Stay tuned for an official grand opening in winter quarter! Advising staff are continuing to support students through the fall quarter and assist with winter quarter registration, along with supporting various campus events like Welcome Weeks and Preview Day. We are currently hiring two new advisors to round out our staffing and are continuing to streamline our new processes and procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&nbsp;hosted the inaugural&nbsp;<strong>Graduate 足彩app哪个是正规的 Welcome and Campus Orientation<\/strong>&nbsp;on Sept. 17. Approximately 120 incoming graduate students attended, which included RSVPs and onsite registrants. Also, the new director of Graduate Enrollment Management Services (GEMS) for the UW\u2019s Graduate School, Jesse Knappenberger, visited campus on October 28 to meet with Graduate Program advisors and coordinators to discuss how GEMS can better support our graduate programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/premajor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">First Year &amp; Pre-Major Program<\/a>&nbsp;continues its important work<\/strong>&nbsp;supporting new students through its Discovery Core Experience classes.
